Frequently asked questions
Which environments is the Alu Moq&Rub suitable for?
It is designed for entrances with heavy foot traffic, such as commercial buildings, offices, hotels, shopping centres, public and industrial facilities. It can be installed both indoors and in covered outdoor areas sheltered from direct rain, such as porches, canopies and awnings.
Can I order it in the exact size I need, or are only standard sizes available?
The product is made entirely to measure: you can order it in any size between 40 × 40 cm and 5000 × 5000 cm. You can also choose from four thicknesses (13, 17, 22 or 26 mm) and various perimeter profile configurations for recessed or surface-mounted installation.
How do I clean and maintain it over time?
The carpet inserts should be vacuumed regularly according to the level of traffic, while the rubber inserts can be washed with water and a neutral detergent. The aluminium frame only requires a damp cloth or a low-pressure jet washer; the inserts can be removed individually for deep cleaning or replacement, without having to replace the entire frame.
Can the inserts be replaced if they wear out, or does the whole mat need changing?
The inserts are interchangeable and can be removed individually: if a carpet or rubber insert wears out, you can replace just that insert without touching the load-bearing aluminium frame, which is covered by a 2-year warranty.
Is the mat safe in environments with fire safety requirements or where wet floors can be hazardous?
Yes: the Alu Moq&Rub is rated R11 for slip resistance, has class 5 wear resistance and is classified for fire behaviour, making it suitable even for environments with specific fire safety requirements.
