Frequently asked questions
Which surfaces can I apply COBAGRiP® Sheet to, and does it work outdoors as well?
COBAGRiP® Sheet is suitable for ramps, walkways, platforms and slippery floors made of metal, wood, concrete and other smooth materials, both indoors and outdoors. It withstands rain, damp and ice, making it ideal for warehouses, workshops, logistics areas and traffic routes exposed to the weather.
How is the anti-slip sheet installed? Do I need tools or a specialist fitter?
Installation is immediate thanks to the pressure-sensitive adhesive backing: simply clean the surface, lay the sheet and press down firmly — no special tools required. For an even more secure hold, particularly in heavy-duty environments, the sheet can also be mechanically fixed with screws or welded into place.
Can the sheet be cut to fit unusual shapes or sizes?
Yes, COBAGRiP® Sheet can be cut on site with ordinary tools, so it can be adapted to any shape or size. Standard sizes available are 120×80 cm, 120×120 cm and 240×120 cm; for larger areas, several sheets can simply be laid side by side.
How do I clean and maintain it over time?
Routine cleaning simply involves dry sweeping or washing with water and a neutral detergent. Avoid harsh solvents and mechanical abrasive equipment, as these could damage the adhesive or reduce the anti-slip performance. We recommend checking edges and corners periodically to make sure adhesion is still sound, and replacing the sheet if the abrasive surface becomes excessively worn.
Does the product carry recognised safety certifications? Is it compliant with current standards?
Yes, COBAGRiP® Sheet is certified for slip resistance to DIN 51130 class R13 and BS 7976-2, and holds an EN 13501 Bfl-s1 fire classification. The three colours available (Yellow, Grey and Black) meet Equality Act requirements, making it suitable for settings where visual demarcation is mandatory.
