Which environments is the COBAelite mat suitable for, and where should it not be used?
COBAelite is designed for dry indoor environments: checkout points, service counters, assembly lines, light production areas and showrooms. It is not suitable for outdoor use, damp or wet areas, or zones with frequent exposure to oils or harsh chemicals, against which polyurethane offers only limited resistance.
Is it available made to measure, or do I have to choose from the standard sizes only?
In addition to the standard 60 × 90 cm and 90 × 120 cm sizes, COBAelite is also available made to measure. For details on dimensions, minimum order quantities and lead times for bespoke sizes, we recommend contacting our customer service team directly.
How is the mat installed – are adhesives or special tools required?
No. COBAelite is simply loose laid, with no adhesives or tools of any kind: just place it on the floor and it is ready to use. The integrated bevelled edges on all sides ensure a safe transition to the surrounding floor, eliminating any trip hazard. Its lightweight construction also makes it easy to move or reposition at any time.
How do I clean and look after the COBAelite over time?
Maintenance is straightforward: brush it regularly with a stiff brush, vacuum it, or wipe it down with a damp cloth to remove any remaining dirt. Avoid prolonged use of aggressive detergents, solvents or oils, as these can damage the polyurethane material.
Is the mat certified for fire safety? Is it suitable for workplaces with specific regulatory requirements?
Yes. COBAelite has been fire tested to BS EN 13501-1 and achieved a Class Efl-s1 rating, making it suitable for professional environments with fire safety requirements. The classification applies to loose lay installation on non-combustible substrates; if you have specific regulatory requirements, we recommend checking with your health and safety officer.
