Is this mat suitable for people who stand all day on a concrete floor?
Yes, the Orthomat® Comfort Plus was designed for exactly that: the twin-layer, open-cell PVC foam construction with a 15 mm thickness absorbs impact and relieves strain on the back, legs and joints. It also insulates against the cold typically radiating from industrial concrete floors.
Can I order it in sizes other than the standard ones? Is a bespoke size available?
Yes. Alongside the standard 90×60 cm and 150×90 cm sizes, the mat is also available on the roll and cut to the linear metre in 90 cm and 120 cm widths, so you can cover workstations of any length. For particular size requirements, please get in touch with us directly.
How is it cleaned and installed? Does it need adhesive?
No, the Orthomat® Comfort Plus is simply loose-laid without adhesive, making it very easy to move or reposition. To clean it, just sweep it or wipe the top surface with a mop or a damp cloth.
Are the yellow borders purely decorative or do they serve a purpose?
The high-visibility yellow borders serve a safety purpose: they clearly define the workstation and help highlight the area visually within the production environment. If you prefer a more discreet look, choose the plain black version.
Is the product certified? Can I use it in areas subject to fire safety regulations?
Yes, the Orthomat® Comfort Plus is certified to BS EN 13501-1 Class Cfl-s1 for reaction to fire, one of the European classifications required in many industrial environments. It comes with a 2-year warranty for dry indoor use; the product is not suitable for damp or wet areas.
