Frequently asked questions
Is the Senso Dial suitable for a workshop workstation where oil or fuel spills may occur?
Yes, the Senso Dial has been tested for resistance to petrol and unleaded fuels in accordance with ISO 1817, making it suitable for industrial environments where oil or fuel spills are possible. That said, it remains a product designed for dry indoor use, so it is not recommended for permanently wet areas.
Can I order it in sizes other than the standard ones?
Yes. In addition to the standard sizes (100×60 cm and 150×100 cm) and the rolls available in 1 m and 1.2 m widths sold by the linear metre, the Senso Dial can also be supplied in bespoke sizes on request for a perfect fit at your workstation. Get in touch for a tailored quote.
How effective is it at reducing fatigue for people standing all day?
The 10 mm EPDM foam backing continuously cushions muscular strain, delivering noticeable ergonomic relief within the first few minutes of use. It is designed specifically for operators who spend long hours on their feet, both in industrial settings and in lighter-duty working environments.
How is it cleaned and how easy is it to maintain?
Maintenance is very straightforward: simply brush the top surface or go over it with a mop. As it is loose laid without any fixings, the mat can easily be lifted and repositioned so you can clean the floor underneath as well.
What does ESD certified mean and where is it required?
ESD certification (IEC 61340-4-5) means the mat is suitable for electrostatic discharge control, protecting sensitive electronic components and operators from static build-up. It is particularly suited to electronics laboratories, electrical component assembly areas and any location where static discharge could cause damage or hazards.
